Who are we?

Founded in 1996, Rosewood Marketing is a full-service marketing agency guiding business owners in the Anabaptist Plain Community to sustainable growth through marketing leadership. For many clients, Rosewood is their first entry into a relationship with a marketing agency. Our goal of delivering results requires not only solving a client’s marketing challenges, but also supporting their Anabaptist values and culture. We run our company on the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) which allows us to set clear expectations of our employees, increase operational efficiencies, and develop a strong sense of trust and accountability.

About The Team

Rosewood takes an integrated approach to marketing, prescribing programs for our clients rather than projects. The first step each year is for the Marketing Strategy team to work with the client to clarify the business objectives and then to develop an annual plan. Throughout the year the resulting marketing program is executed, monitored, and measured through a structured Marketing Guide Path

About The Role

The Senior Search Optimization Specialist is a member of the Digital Marketing team and reports directly to the Digital Marketing Director. Primary responsibilities are to plan, create, execute, and report on search optimization programs designed to increase inbound traffic of specific audiences at multiple stages of the marketing funnel.

On any given day you might

  • Create audits and optimization plans
  • Conduct competitive analysis or keyword/topic research to guide strategic recommendations
  • Execute specific plan components within the digital marketing team’s purview or oversee those components being completed by other teams
  • Write content that supports optimization programs
  • Project manage SEO or online content marketing projects
  • Analyze, measure and report on completed programs
  • Interact with clients, presenting recommendations, findings, and results
  • Ensure that executed programs remain on strategy
  • Lead cross-functional team interactions and training (digital marketing, web development, and content marketing teams)
  • Field questions from marketing team members regarding best practices and specific issue resolution

Ideal Candidate

As a Senior Search Optimization Specialist, you’re constantly using both sides of your brain. You are a strategic thinker without sacrificing tactical abilities. You are analytical, yet still creative in the application of information. When it comes to architecting content, you plan with the search engines in mind and write with the consumer in mind (and you know how to serve both). You ask relevant questions before sitting down to create, and you pair it with active listening and documentation. You understand that each client leverages different digital assets of varying sophistication, so every optimization plan will be unique. But you rely on best practices and apply tomorrow what you learned today.

You Bring

  • 5+ years experience managing search optimization programs for clients in a professional capacity, ideally Agency side
  • A continuous-improvement mindset paired with existing subject matter expertise and best-practice SEO skills
  • Advanced experience with Screaming Frog, SEM Rush, Ahrefs, and other digital marketing SaaS tools
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Ability to perform technical SEO audits and the ability to communicate remediation steps to development team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Understanding of the Anabaptist Plain Community (Amish, Mennonite, Brethren) and their cultural values

Bonus Points For

  • Experience managing paid search campaigns; even more for paid social campaigns
  • Proficiency with CRM and Marketing Automation platforms
